A WOMAN in her 40s was cut free from the wreckage of her car after a crash on the A20 near Dartford on Monday (Dec 16).

Two fire engines and two ambulances attended the scene at the A20 Farningham Road from 6.55pm.

The woman, who suffered facial injuries, was taken to King's College Hospital in London.

A South East coast Ambulance spokesman said: "We sent two ambulances and air ambulance in a car following reports a car had come off the road and hit a tree.

"It was a woman in her 40s. She suffered injuries, including facial injuries, and was taken to hospital as a priority."

A Kent Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "Firefighters stabilised the vehicle before using hydraulic rescue equipment to create space and effect release of the casualty to the care of paramedics and onward transport to hospital."
