April was the month when the inquest into the tragedy of three Enfield teenagers who died after crashing into a parked lorry the previous year.

Jack Boyton, 17, Harry Ferrand, 17, and Ashley Jones, 19, grew up together on the Elsinge Estate and died in November 2012.

The coroner reached a verdict of accidental death and found that none of the men in the car were under the influence of alcohol.

Mr Jones’ family commemorated his life while Jack’s mum, Sarah, laid down plans to build a cafe in his memory.

Also that month, three men were charged with the murder of 19-year-old Mohammed Hussein who was shot in Bounces Road on April 1.

Three weeks after Mr Hussein was shot, a 34-year-old was killed in Southgate.

Zafer Eren, Tottenham, was shot dead in Fontaine Court on April 13.

And a disturbing case from the previous year came to court when Opemipo Jaji denied raping a girl in Jubilee Park in Edmonton in November 2012.
