Transport for London (TfL) are urging people that unbooked minicab are illegal, dangerous and put you at risk of attack including sexual assault and robbery.
Instead, people should download TfL's free Cabwise app for smartphones to book the nearest minicab or taxi (black cab) in three easy steps.

The only time you should get into a minicab is if you have booked it directly with the minicab office in person, via phone, email or through an app.
