Harrow Borough Council is calling on people to think local when it comes to their Christmas shopping.
In the last full shopping week before the big day, the council is calling on people make use of the town centre and district high streets to complete their festive purchases.
Following the success of the Harrow town centre Christmas party the council hopes improvements to shopping areas will entice more shoppers.
Cabinet member for business Cllr Kamaljit Chana said: "There is no need to travel outside Harrow for your Christmas presents this year – the borough has plenty to offer, with lots of different stores, as well as restaurants and cafes if you want to take a break from all that shopping.”
