A new supermarket in Cockfosters has created more than 20 jobs.
The Co-operative food store in Cockfosters Parade, has created 24 jobs and was opened by Trent Church of England Primary school in Church Way, Barnet.
Store manager Imran Junoob said: “Cockfosters residents are passionate about their food and our new Co-operative food store will certainly reflect this. The store will be packed with modern and interesting meal ideas that, while quick and easy to put together, are sure to impress.
“We are thrilled to open the doors of our new store on Cockfosters Parade and as a community retailer it is important that our neighbouring school is playing a central role in the opening of our new store.”
