A charity which provides counselling services to families and day care services for the elderly has celebrated its 30th anniversary.

The Grace organisation, in Whitehall Street, Tottenham, marked the occasion at its annual Christmas meal on Thursday.

The organisation’s director and founder Daphne Marche was presented with an award for the work the charity has done in the past three decades.

She has previously received recognition from the Queen and was awarded an MBE.

Mayor of Haringey Councillor Shelia Peacock attended the event along with members of the community.
