Members of public have been invited to celebrate the life of South Africa’s first black president.
A memorial to Nelson Mandela will be held at the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, in Tottenham, on Saturday from 4pm onwards.
It will mark borough’s connection with anti-apartheid movement, as a home to many South African leaders in exile, and a powerful centre of the campaign to free Mr Mandela while he was in prison.
Mr Mandela died on Thursday, December 5, at the age of 95.
