Final farmers' market of the year offers up special festive treats in Walton

Last minute Christmas shoppers can enjoy the delights of the Heart’s farmers markets to pick up some special treats for the festive season.

More than 40 stalls will be outside the main plaza at the Walton shopping centre and shoppers can meet butchers, bakers and wine makers for expert advice on how to make the most of Christmas.

From chutneys and cheeses for the traditional cheese board to last minute treats for the Christmas dinner, there will be something on offer for all tastes.

A wide range of sweet treats for pudding will also be on offer, from fresh popcorn to homemade jam and cakes of all shapes, sizes and flavours.

Mark Middleton, general manager of the Heart, said: “Christmas is now in full swing and with families coming together for the festive season, now is a great time to visit our Farmers’ Market and get some Christmas treats for the family.

“With our friendly atmosphere and expert advice from local farmers, the Farmers’ Market is a great opportunity to make this Christmas a perfect one.”
