A man sustained serious injuries after being punched in the face after a night out in Weybridge.
The victim was walking along Church Street at about 3am on Saturday, October 26, when a man punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground.
He suffered a cut to his left cheek and head injuries and was taken to St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey, to receive treatment.
The suspect was a white man, in his early 20s, about 6ft and slim.
Detective Constable Sarah Mann said: “The victim has suffered a number of injuries as a result of the attack and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may recognise either of the two men in the CCTV images, to come forward as a matter of urgency.
“Officers believe that the man we would like to speak to is local and it is likely that the offender has talked about the assault with others. I would ask if you are one of those people to contact Surrey Police.
“This type of behaviour simply will not be tolerated and we need to do all we can to bring the offender to justice.”
Anyone with information should contact Surrey Police on 101, quoting reference EL/13/7139 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
