Guests celebrated a special 10th anniversary charity ball at Epsom Racecourse, raising £20,000 for The Children’s Trust.

The charity event at the Duchess Stand on November 29, was attended by 200 people including members of the construction industry and the black-tie event included dinner and entertainment.

Since the event started ten years ago, £357,000 has been raised for the children’s charity.

Speeches were made by Ali Lalani, Vice-President of The Children’s Trust and Charlotte Pickering, 16, who talked about the specialist rehabilitation programme she received at the Trust following a brain injury.

Tracy Poulton, fundraising co-ordinator for special events at The Children’s Trust, said: "I would like to thank Paul Burgess, Chris Dulley and all the construction industry members for making the 10th anniversary ball such a success.

"Also our special thanks to Darren Williams, our auctioneer at the event, Ali Lalani and Charlotte Pickering."
