A man who conducted a Christmas Carol Concert has helped to raise £10,000 for a National autism charity.

Tim Crosley, from Wimbledon is a lawyer but also acts as a director for the EC4 Music group which features the 120 singers that entertained guests at the event which took place on December 4.

He was joined by Jane Asher, President of the National Autistic Society (NAS) who took over to conduct one song.

She said: "It was very brave of conductor Tim Crosley to ask me to conduct his brilliant EC4 choir, although I was really nervous we survived the experience and the choir sang beautifully."

The sell out concert took place at St Clement Danes Church on the Strand and consisted of readings, carols and a blessing from the Archbishop of Westminster, Vincent Nichols.

Mr Crosley said: "Working with the NAS on events I have learnt so much about autism, I hope our donation will go some way to helping the NAS give people with autism the chance they deserve."

The money raised will go to the NAS’ Employee Mentoring Scheme which supports those with autism getting into employment.
