THREE weeks until the big day means it’s impossible to go anywhere without being ‘treated’ to Christmas pop music.

Of course we’re all used to it by now, with our ears having faced regular assault from festive tunes since about mid-October.

Today we’re asking you to name the Christmas pop hits which you actually love to hear each year. Which ones get you right in the mood for Christmas and don’t get on your nerves no matter how many times you hear them? Are you a fan of Slade or Wizzard? Do you long for a bit of Cliff, or does Mariah do it for you? Is there any song that’s better than Fairytale of New York?

We also want you to shame the songs that you can’t stand hearing. Which ones make you stick your fingers in your ears or make you want to stamp on whatever radio or CD player they’re coming out of? Are there any that actually make you feel less festive when you listen to them?

Finally, are you someone who used to enjoy the race for Christmas number one every year and do you think TV talent shows have spoilt it? What are you hoping gets the top spot this year?
