A 13-year-old girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a bus yesterday.

The accident happened on Woodcote Green Road, in Epsom, at 8.15am.

A Surrey Police spokeswoman said the girl was taken to St Helier Hospital for treatment, but her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening nor life-changing.

A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokesman said four ambulances and one air ambulance attended the scene and the girl was fully conscious when taken by road to hospital after suffering chest and arm pain.

Road closures were put in place while emergency crews attended the scene and an initial collision investigation was carried out.  All closures were lifted at around 9am.
