This was the dramatic scene at a curry house in Tadworth on Friday when a motorist ploughed into the front of the Burgh Head Tandoori restaurant.
It is understood the car swerved into the eatery after hitting the brakes near traffic lights at 3pm.
Thankfully no diners or staff were injured during the incident as the restaurant only opens in the evenings.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: "A blue Renault Clio left the road and collided with the front of a business address smashing a front window.
"The building was checked but the collision did not cause any structural damage and there were no reports of any injuries. The vehicle was recovered and the road fully reopened shortly after 6pm."
