Take a festive step back in time and enjoy a Victorian Christmas with friends and family.

Sandown Park plays host to a range of activities over two days as part of the Tingle Creek Festival including feature racing, children’s entertainment, carol singing and a William Festival Preview panel; all of which promise to be the ideal way to kick off the countdown to Christmas.

Along with the feature race of the two days, the Grade 1 Tingle Creek Chase and the Henry VIII Novices Steeple Chase on the Saturday, there is plenty of entertainment to keep the whole family amused.

To keep youngsters entertained, an off course pantomime of Cinderella will take place during the day.

Four shows will be available to view in the Esher Hall and is free of charge for racegoers to watch.

Alongside the festive show, children’s entertainment will be plentiful on the second day of the festival with carousel rides, the opportunity to meet Santa and receive a gift and a spot of festive carol singing.

The carousel, which will be located in the car park, will be available to racegoers and the public 15 minutes before gates open until the last race each day, with rides free of charge.

In keeping with the Victorian Christmas theme at this year’s festival, traditional Victorian carriages will greet visitors to Sandown Park from the train station and transport them to the racecourse, where they will be welcomed by the cast of the pantomime and be serenaded on arrival with Christmas carols.

For racegoers who want an extra special start to the festive season, the racecourse also offers a number of hospitality options during the two day Christmas festival.
