Inspired by Mr Carson of Downton Abbey, a fleet of butlers made their way to a Tesco Extra to help customers.

The clean-cut troupe used a Tesco Extra in Lea Valley, Enfield, as their base as they helped a range of people around London.

Oliver Hill, store manager of Lea Valley Tesco Extra said: “We’re really excited about Christmas and many of our customers are already getting into the festive spirit.

“Christmas shopping usually starts in mid-November, so to help our customers and offer them the highest service standards observed by Mr Carson and his team at Downton Abbey, butlers were on hand in our Lea Valley Extra store. We hope customers enjoyed the experience.”
