A fireworks display to celebrate Guy Fawkes' night and Alexandra Palace’s 150th Birthday will take place this evening.

The sold out event will be Alexandra Palace's first display in five years is being touted as the "number one" display in the capital.

Those without tickets are urged not to come to the venue as none will be available at the door.

The event will include a German Beer Festival, complete with beers and real ales, a Bavarian waitress service, Oompah Bands and DJs and the headline act - Noasis, a tribute to Oasis.

People attending the festival - which starts at 2pm - are advised to come early, as there is limited capacity and a “one in, one out” policy.

The Guy Fawkes festival will also provide ticket holders with access to a family funfair, a street food village and special ticketed ice-skating sessions.

Tickets for discounted skating sessions at Alexandra Palace’s ice rink have also sold out.

There will be no access to Alexandra Park, Alexandra Palace and the ice rink without a fireworks ticket and Alexandra Palace Way will be closed from 2pm until 11pm on Saturday.

Full access to Alexandra Park will be restored from 6am on Sunday, November 3.
