Plans for bus route improvements in South Harrow announced
A new road layout and road markings aimed at easing congestion and improving reliability on a bus route have been announced.
Harrow Borough Council has called for people’s views on proposed changes to Eastcote Lane bus route in South Harrow.
Improvements will be made in partnership with Transport for London, which is fully funding the scheme, and it is hoped the changes will make the service more reliable for users.
Proposals include a mini-roundabout at the junction of Eastcote Lane and Kings Road, which will reduce traffic congestion.
Plans also put forward are the introduction of yellow and double yellow lines to reduce waiting times in Eastcote Road.
People have until Friday November 15 to have their say about the plans, which they can do by clicking here.
Responses will be considered once the consultation has finished and construction work around Eastcote Lane is expected to begin in the New Year.
