DARTFORD town centre was glowing on Friday evening as more than 550 schoolchildren paraded home-made lanterns and torches through the streets.
The fifth Dartford Festival of Light parade kicked off at 6.30pm at the Orchards Shopping Centre before heading into the High Street and towards Central Park.
Comedy duo Danny and Dan then entertained the crowds with their performance from the park's bandstand.
Gurvinder Sandher, CEO of the Kent Equality Cohesion Council who organised the parade, said: "The whole purpose of the event was to celebrate the positive community relations enjoyed in the borough and to showcase some of the fantastic work being done by young people in their schools around the arts.
"I am delighted we have had an excellent response from the local schools again."
Schools taking part included Fleetdown Junior, Joydens Wood Junior and West Hill Primary.
