World business leaders coming to Epsom to learn about sustainability at UCA's Centre for Sustainable Design
Business leaders from around the world will be coming to Epsom next month to learn about sustainable design.
They will be attending two days of seminars run by the University for the Creative Arts' Centre for Sustainable Design in Ashley Road.
The centre, which was established in 1995, is a research unit with a leading-edge track record around the world in organising events about sustainable innovation and product sustainability.
Among the speakers at the 18th Sustainable Innovation conference will be representatives from Sainsbury’s, WWF and Nest Labs.
Conference organiser and director, Martin Charter said, "Companies are being forced to rethink business models to adapt to the economic imperative, changing weather patterns, natural disasters and resource scarcity.
"In times of crisis there are often opportunities and there is a growing interest in creating new business models that deliver economic value whilst reducing negative environmental and social impacts.
"Sustainable Innovation provides an ideal opportunity to take a strategic look at these challenges and to bring leaders from all sectors together to create solutions."
The conference is on November 4 and 5.
