Musical theatre star Elaine Page to take the stage for annual charity lunch at Epsom Racecourse
An award winning musical theatre star will be the next inspirational woman to speak at an annual charity lunch.
More than 400 ladies will attend the women of our time luncheon hosted by the Friends’ of Princess Alice Hospice at Epsom Racecourse on November 1, where they will be treated to a talk from Elaine Paige.
Ms Paige will speak about her career and contribution to musical theatre, as well as being quizzed by guests about her experience in the West End and her other work which contributed to her OBE.
Anne Flew, chairman of the women of our time luncheon, said: “We are so fortunate that we were able to secure such a well-known star as Elaine Paige to speak to us at the luncheon.
“This is one of our biggest events and it’s always really enjoyable.
“The Friends’ committee plays a vital role in the community fundraising support Princess Alice Hospice needs to provide care, and through this luncheon we can help make a real difference.”
Talk at previous lunches include actress Virignia Mckenna, TV journalist Angela Rippon and head of MI5, Dame Stella Rimington.
The women of our time luncheon is one of the largest annual fundraising events for the Friends’ of Princess Alice Hospice and has been running for more than 30 years.
