PHOTOS: Surburban skiiers take to St Mark's Hill for Seething Ski Sunday
They put their best feet forward – and still managed to end up on their backsides.
Surburban skiiers once again took on the Springle, slipping, sliding, and tumbling down St Mark’s Hill.
In the end it was Swedish sensation Jesper Hedlund who shocked the Seething spectators at today’s Ski Sunday event, setting a new world record.
Jesper, 21, pictured, beat the previous record over the 21-metre slope – 10.66 seconds – logging a time of 9.97 seconds.
Money raised will go to the Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice, and Creative Youth, the group behind the International Youth Arts Festival.

The luge event, now in its second year, proved a hit - literally, as competitors collided with Kingston Council-provided barriers at moderate speed.
Team Polar Iced: Russell Maynard, James Smith, and Mattieu Giraudon raised £200 for charity.
Some of the more diminutive spectators managed to get a view.
