An Epsom dental practice will be offering a day of free mouth cancer screening checks next month.
Epsom Dental Centre in Waterloo Road will mark the beginning of Mouth Cancer Action month by offering patients the free check-up on Friday, November 1.
The screenings are being sponsored by the Epsom David Lloyd Club.
Chig Amin, Owner and Principal Dentist at Epsom Dental Centre said: “We hope that our free mouth cancer screening day will help to help raise awareness of this disease and its symptoms.
"Our team are fully trained in spotting signs of mouth cancer and the practice is part of the Mouth Cancer Screening Accreditation scheme."
David Lloyd manager Neil Dowthwaite said:“Early detection of cancer is so important and can mean the difference between life and death.
"We are delighted to be involved with this worthwhile cause and hope that the people of Epsom will take advantage of this free service and get checked out.”
