Sutton army reservist flying high after world paragliding competition
An army reservist from Sutton has returned home from Bosnia after competing in an international paragliding tournament.
Lieutenant Simon Sykes was part of a five man team representing the UK at the 7th FAI World Paragliding Accuracy Championships, held in Sarajevo.
Lt Sykes has been a reservist with 210 Transport Squadron RLC, based in Stonecot Hill, North Cheam, for three years, and in his civilian life is a project manager for DHL.
Lt Sykes said: "I am really pleased with my achievement.
"Upon entering the competition my goal was Top 15 and Best under 25 which I achieved by finishing in 14th Position, as top British pilot and best under 25".
