Bromley music classes for adoptive families
A MUSIC-MAKING project aimed at adoptive families is being launched in Bromley.
The Family Fantasia course is the idea of Melanie Jones who realised the benefits of music when she and her husband Malcolm adopted their daughter three years ago.
Through the free classes she hopes to help adopted children learn how to use music to express themselves emotionally and learn to trust their new families.
Mrs Jones said: “When we adopted our daughter we used music a lot.
“It struck me if we had found this sort of musical activity so helpful other adoptive families could too.”
The six week project starts next month and will be held at the Whitfield Hall, Bromley United Reformed Church,Widmore Road, Bromley.
