Deadline looms for Harrow school expansion consultation
People have until later today to have their say about plans to expand a dozen of the borough’s primary schools.
Harrow Borough Council has been consulting for the last month on its second phase of school expansion to meet the growing demand for places.
The schools earmarked for expansion in 2014 are:
Aylward Primary School in Stanmore
Belmont Primary School in Wealdstone
Grange Primary School and Norbury School in Harrow
Pinner Wood School in Pinner.
The council is also proposing seven other schools to expand in 2015.
These are: Cannon Lane Firstand Cannon Lane Junior School, in Pinner
Kenmore Park Infant and Nursery Schooland Kenmore Park Junior in Harrow
Newton Farm Nursery Infant and Junior School in South Harrow
Priestmead Primary School and Nursery in Kenton
St Anselm’s Catholic Primary School in Harrow
St John Fisher Catholic Primary School in Pinner
Whitchurch First School and Whitchurch Junior School in Stanmore.
The second phase will provide a further 3,000 places in primary, secondary and special educational schools.
