UKIP candidate to stand in Harrow-on-the-Hill by-election
The leader of Harrow UKIP has announced he will be standing in a borough council by-election next month.
Jeremy Zeid has announced his candidacy for the Harrow-on-the-Hill by election on Thursday, November 7.
The election follows the resignation of Labour councillor Ann Gate, who will be leaving the area.
Mr Zeid said: “As I see it, Harrow-on-the-Hill is a very diverse ward steeped in history and containing some of our most treasured heritage that needs to be looked after.
“Likewise we have a wide range of businesses that bring jobs, variety and life to the area and that should be helped to flourish.
“As a seasoned campaigner for residents and a successful former councillor I can bring that experience to the table.”
Last week the Conservative group announced Stephen Lewis would be standing in the election against Labour candidate Glen Hearnden.
