Kids television presenter pops into leading children's charity
Popular kids television presenter Sid Sloane entertained children at a leading charity.
Sid Sloane, known for CBeebies and Let’s Play, stopped by The Children’s Trust, in Tadworth, a charity for children with multiple learning disabilities and acquired brain injury, on Tuesday, October 8.
He had coffee and cake at Jo’s Coffee Shop, which is run by learners from The School for Profound Education, which is also located on the Tadworth Court site, and was given a tour of the rehabilitation centre where children who have had a brain injury receive therapy and re-learn vital skills.
Sloane said: "The visit let me see first-hand what a wonderful resource The Children’s Trust can be and is for so many people living and affected by brain injury.
"I also have a close personal relationship with someone affected by brain injury.
"It is clear to see why The Children’s Trust is the UK's number one charity dealing with children with a brain injury, and I am more than happy to support the work that it does to provide this vital and valuable service."
His visit coincided with the charity’s fundraising initiative, Humphrey’s Pyjama Week, which Sloane helped launch for the second year running.
