Man thought to be in 40s hit by bus outside Enfield Town train station
Traffic was brought to a standstill after a man was hit by a bus in Enfield Town.
One ambulance was called at 12.15pm after a 48-year-old man was struck by a 192 bus in Southbury Road, Enfield, just outside Enfield Town train station.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said that the man was treated for arm and chest pains and was taken as a priority to Chase Farm Hospital.
Bystander Judy Cathcart, 51, of Palmers Green believes that the crossing where the accident took place is one of the most dangerous in the town.
She said: “It’s a dangerous crossing by the station; I am not surprised more people don’t get hit there. The man just stepped out but I couldn’t see what colour the lights were.”
