Have you ever had the urge to rip the wallpaper off your walls and turn it into a quirky outfit?
Kingston University fashion students did just that, sort of, writes Levi Winchester.
They will unveil nine outfits inspired by new paint colours from paint and wallpaper company, Farrow and Ball, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall this Thursday, the eve of London Fashion Week.
Charlie Cosby, Farrow and Ball’s creative manager, said: "We weren’t sure what to expect when we began this project but the tenacity and creativity with which the Kingston University MA fashion students approached the new colours brief left us inspired".
Kingston University’s course leader for the MA in Fashion, Andrew Ibi, said: "Teaming up with iconic brands such as Farrow and Ball has given them invaluable experience in the work involved in putting youthful and culturally-relevant collections together."
The outfits will be showcased in a runway show at 7.30pm on Thursday, September 12, at the Queen Elizabeth Hall on London’s Southbank.
