Giant insects and polar bears at the Leytonstone Big Weekender
Stilt walkers dressed as giant insects and a life-size moving model polar bear were just some of the attractions at the Leytonstone Big Weekender family fun day on Saturday.
The sun shone as families flocked to Cathall Green to be entertained by street entertainers, arts workshops and the spider climbing mountain.
Council leader, Chris Robbins attended, pictured with Mayor, Nadeem Ali, and his two grandchildren, Thomas and Anya, who both had a go at climbing the coconut palm tree.
The green themed fun weekend continued on the Sunday with the Car Free Day in Church Lane, a historic street party headlined by ska legends, The Beat, to finish the two day festival.
