Smart-dressed men steal Asian gold worth £40,000 in Wallington burglary
Asian jewellery worth an estimated £40,000 was stolen in a burglary in Wallington last month.
Four thieves broke into a house in Link Lane and took the jewellery that was stored in a black vanity case with the letters KOTHIA written on it at 3pm on Thursday, August 15.
A variety of items including necklaces and bracelets made of 22ct gold and worth up to £4,200 each were taken in the raid and police are now appealing for anyone who has seen the items for sale or has any other information to come forward.
The suspects are all white men aged 20 to 24 and between 5ft 10in and 6ft.
They were dressed smartly in short sleeved shirts tucked into black trousers. One of them wore an orange checked shirt and all of them had short, dark hair.
The gang got in by forcing the front door open and left carrying the vanity case and suitcase in the direction of Redford Avenue.
Anyone with information can call police on 101 quoting reference number 4007777/13 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
