Mum finds 'bullied' 15-year-old Sinead Taylor hanged in Woolwich home
A 15-YEAR-OLD girl was found hanged in her Woolwich home by her mum - two months after posting an online video about being bullied.
Aspiring dancer Sinead Taylor was discovered in the hallway by her mother on August 23 at around 5pm, an inquest heard this morning (September 2).
The pupil, who transferred to Blackheath's Corelli College after being bullied, revealed how she had been driven to self-harming and considered suicide in a nine-minute agony aunt-style video about her bullying torment.
But the teenager claimed the abuse stopped two years ago and gave tips to bully victims before ending the video on an upbeat note about her future dance career.
Speaking at the opening of an inquest into her death, coroner’s officer Jacqueline Willson said: “When her mum arrived home around 5pm she walked into the hall and saw her hanged in the hallway.”
The court heard how the teenager had seemed fine at lunchtime and had spoken with her mum about going shopping.
Police were called by London Ambulance Service to the house at 5.44pm where Sinead was pronounced dead at the scene.
Referring to the claims of bullying, coroner Andrew Harris said: “I have asked the police to investigate on her phone and computer to try and find any further information.
“I believe they are making further enquiries.”
The inquest was opened and adjourned.
