A DAY centre threw a storming summer fete with many News Shopper distributors taking part.
The event on August 18 was such a success organisers have decided to schedule a regular calendar of events at Astley Day Centre in Magpie Hall Lane, Bromley Common.
There were food stalls, arts and crafts from locally-based artists as well as games and raffles.
All the money raised will go towards people with learning disabilities who use the centre - many of whom distribute the News Shopper.
General day care assistant Jeanette Parsons said: "It was fantastic and we raised £1,000, it was such a great day.
It went so well we’re going to hold another one in December so it would be great if people could get in touch if they want to help out."
