Victims of burglaries in Epsom, Mole Valley and Banstead are being urged to visit a new police website to identify and reclaim their stolen property.
Surrey Police has set up a page on website Pinterest in a bid to reunite stolen items with their rightful owners, after a large amount of property, including electrical items, jewellery and watches, was recovered following a search warrant at an address in Croydon last month.
The property is believed to have been stolen following burglaries at addresses including those in Epsom, Mole Valley, Reigate and Banstead.
Images of all the property seized are featured on the Pinterest page, and victims of burglary are invited to go to the page to see if they recognise any of their valuables.
Detective Constable Victoria Hunter: "Pinterest offers an effective, efficient and convenient opportunity to view items at times suitable to the user and is in a format that is widely accessible to the community as a whole."
Letters have been sent to all the victims of dwelling burglaries in targeted areas since January 2013 inviting them to look on the website.
