A pop-up sculpture park has attracted crowds of visitors after transforming Kingston’s Memorial Gardens.

The Sitespecific site, developed by 10 artists who are current and previous students at Kingston University and other institutions, hosted a public view on Wednesday, July 10.

Amanda Henriques, one of the artists and co-founder of the project, said: “We have had a very positive response to the park with lots of great feedback from the public, both during the install and since the park has opened.

“We have noticed both adults and children alike enjoying the space and interacting with the work and have had comments from several members of the public saying they feel the space is less intimidating now and they are more inclined to spend time in it.”

The project was set up as part of the International Youth Arts Festival. It features the work of: Ms Henriques, Alan Connolly, Serge Constantinesco, Andrea da Costa, Jacob Daley, Georgina Davy, Katarina Dimitrijevic, Kosha Hussain, Michael Isaac, Jessica Melling, Kim Porrelli, Darja Peterca and the Craft Inn’s Bobi Robson.
