More than 300 crews will take part in a double day of racing across the Thames at Hurst Meadows between East and West Mosley.

The course is a challenging one for rowers, at 850m on the Saturday and 500m for the juniors on Sunday.

Marquees with teas, cakes and sandwiches, a bar selling real ale and shops with costume jewellery and other accessories will line the banks as spectators watch the event unfold.

Visitors can also bring their own picnics and sit on the grass as the races go by, or head to the lunch tent and the Pimm’s bar for a special treat.

After the last race on the Saturday, the Elmbridge Big Band will be performing an All that jazz concert.

Ted Bates, regatta secretary, says: “The regatta offers a lovely day out by the river, away from traffic and rush, so make a date in your diary and come and enjoy yourself.”
