Staff from a builders merchants have raised more than £6,500 for a cancer charity with a mammoth cycle ride around the capital.
Staff from Selco took on the challenge taking a tour of London starting and finishing at the Tottenham branch, in White Hart Lane for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The group of nine took in a tour of four other branches in Barking, Romford, Walthamstow and Enfield before arriving back in Tottenham for a charity evening at Haringey Football Club.
Regional manager Paul Neary, who organised the challenge said: “It was a great day and we are all thrilled with the amount of money raised.
“Plenty of training went in before the event and it was fantastic that all the hard work paid off.
“While there was some pain along the way, I think everyone enjoyed it and we are already in the planning stage of arranging another cycling charity event later in the year.”
So far the group have raised £6,600 and are expecting the total to rise once all donations are collected.
