A detailed map revealing the perils and pitfalls on the Ride London cycle route has been released.

Cyclists will have to tackle the highest point in South East England on Leith Hill, as well as Box Hill and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as they tour through Surrey.

Hugh Brasher, event director of Prudential Ride London, said: “The route profile shows exactly how testing this challenge will be.”

Brave riders can also find relief in three hubs dotted along the route, offering medical and mechanical help, food, drink and toilets.

These will be in Hampton Court, Newlands Corner, and Leatherhead.
