ARMED police and officers with dogs were dispatched at lunchtime after reports of a burglary in progress on Aylesbury Road in Boscombe.

A police spokesman said officers and armed response units were sent at 1.10pm. They were already on patrol in the area.

“After making enquiries officers conducted a search of the area and one man was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

Police are still wishing to speak to another man who they believe can help them with their investigation. He is described as white between the age of 18 and 20. He was wearing a green army style coat with a hood and blue jeans,” the spokesman added.
