Police have appealed for information about burglars who hit a woman on the head with a hammer as they stole iPhones and a games console from her house.

The 33-year-old resident was attacked as she tried to push three intruders out of her home in Rusthall Close, Ashburton at 11.55pm on February 13.

She suffered a cut to the head. 

The burglars, who also stole other electrical items, are thought to be black men, aged 17 to 19.

All three were wearing beanie hats and one wore a dark puffa jacket.

Detective Constable Andy Pike said: "We’ve carried out various enquiries, but have not been able to identify the suspects in this case.

"If anyone remembers seeing anything suspicious or has any information, then we would urge you to get in touch."
