Musicians will be paying homage to country music singer Patsy Cline, singer-songwriter James Taylor and great songwriters of the Twentieth Century at Epsom Playhouse.
Sandy Kelly, dubbed Ireland’s queen of country music, is starring in an evening of music to mark the 50th anniversary of the death of legend Patsy Cline.
Kelly will be joined on stage by country musician George Hamilton IV and performers from the West End production of Patsy.
The same night in the Myers Studio guitarist and singer Brian Dales and keyboard player Jon Chamberlain will pay tribute to James Taylor through songs like Fire and Rain, You’ve Got a Friend and Copperline.
The pair bring their own sensitivity to the music but stay faithful to Taylor’s trademark acoustic-guitar driven arrangements.
Two gentlemen and a piano will perform music by great songwriters of the twentieth century including Cole Porter and George Gershwin.
Tony Jacobs, a former vocalist with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, and his accompanist Jim Barry will sing classic songs such as Puttin’ on the Ritz and As Time Goes By.
The show will also be packed with facts and anecdotes about the musicians.
