What's Your Story book week glory at Cleves

Full of character: Cleves School book week Full of character: Cleves School book week

To launch the Cleves School book week, actors from West End in Schools performed their production of What’s Your Story.

The show centred on a range of books, exploring the diverse worlds they can transport you to and the variety of characters you can meet.

The show was followed by a visit from author and illustrator Paul Geraghty who provided an entertaining insight into his life and the many books he has written.

In addition, pupils from year three worked alongside year 2 pupils  from Oatlands Infant School as part of a get reading project, and the week was rounded off with a book character day, where pupils and staff came to school dressed as their favourite book character.

Pupils also took part in a whole school sponsored read to raise money to buy more books for the school, and an extreme reading photo competition which challenged pupils to find the most unusual place to read.
