Public meeting at Bromley Central Library to discuss future of Royal Bell hotel

THE future of the dilapidated Royal Bell hotel building is set to be discussed at a public meeting in Bromley.

Bromley Arts and Community Initiative (BACI) will be updating people about their plan to buy the premises in Bromley High Street and make it into a building for the community.

They are hopeful of being able to buy the premises from the owner British Land Group with the help of Bromley people clubbing together to come up with funding.

The meeting will take place in the large hall on the fourth floor of Bromley Central Library on March 28th at 7pm.

A Chinese restaurant chain which was in negotiation with the leaseholders to take on a sub-lease for the property has fallen through.

Don't need any more restaurants around Bromley thats for sure.

Maybe a nice pub that serves decent food at a good price if thats at all possible these days.

Before The Bell went down hill it was a nice place to have a drink, eat, play a game of pool etc.

Im 34 now but in the "olden" days i did like the DJ's and music.

I never witnessed any trouble there myself.

Still, during a recession i wish the best of luck to any one taking it on.
