Esher College has held a health fair for the 10th year, helping students find out more about health awareness campaigns.

A group of first year applied A-level health and social care students helped set up the event and were guided by a team of experienced health professionals from NHS Central Surrey, a health adviser from Catch 22 and Surrey CAMHS Youth Advisers.

Eight health campaigns were delivered including; testicular cancer awareness, sexual health, domestic abuse awareness and drugs and alcohol.

Annie Teoh Williams, head of health and social care, said “The feedback from the students who attended the event was very positive.

“All of the students I spoke to had fun, but they were also being challenged by the wide range of serious health issues that were being discussed at the event.”

The health fair took place at the college on Tuesday, March 5.
