GREENWICH police were called three times last night by angry parents following Justin Bieber’s late show at the O2.

The teenage superstar blamed “technical issues” and apologised to fans on Twitter after reports that he came on stage up to two hours after expected.

Worried parents rang Greenwich police as well as taking to the Twittersphere to vent their concern about children held up at the late concert in Greenwich Peninsula on a school night.

A Greenwich Police spokeswoman told News Shopper: "We can confirm that we were called on three occasions with regards to issues surrounding a concert taking place on the evening of the 4th of March 2013 in the Greenwich Peninsula.

“The calls were related to parents being concerned about the lateness of the concert and with traffic issues.”

The Canadian singer did not begin his performance until 10.30pm last night and calls were logged with police between 11.40 and 12.45pm.

What is the point of calling the Police. It's absolute time-wasting.

Yes. And every day, there's more and more of them!

The police should charge them with abuse of the 999 facility.

Totally agree. People might actually think about whether they really should be calling an emergency service if they thought that they could be fined.
