Major development around the North Circular Road was given the go-ahead by councillors last night.
Enfield Borough Council aims to find investment to build hundreds of new homes in an area around the road stretching from Southgate to Edmonton.
The proposals were waved through during a full council meeting in Enfield Civic Centre.
The plans include demolishing ten properties in Bowes Road and 13 in Telford Road to make way for two blocks of flats.
The council's cabinet member for business and regeneration Councillor Del Goddard hopes the work will deliver "real change" in the affected communities.
