Mothers can enjoy a day of racing for free as the annual Paddy Power Imperial Cup falls the day before Mothering Sunday.

The race day is set to be as exciting as ever and, along with the bring your mother racing for free offer, racegoers also have the chance of receiving £20 off one of three restaurants packages to treat their mother for their special day.

A top class Cheltenham Festival preview panel will also take place, with the best spokesmen and women racing can offer.

Racegoers can find out if any of this year’s crop of horses might be ones to watch by getting the experts’ view at the live Cheltenham preview panel after the racing.

A famous panel of professionals from the racing world, hosted by Channel 4’s Nick Luck, will include champion trainer Paul Nicholls, trainer Nicky Henderson, champion jockey AP McCoy, owner Andy Stewart and Paddy Power, who will discuss the upcoming festival races in detail and provide some insider tips.

The Cheltenham Preview takes place in the Esher Hall after the last race and will cost £1 for entry, with all donations going to the panellists’ choice of charity.

Also taking place during the Mother’s Day weekend is the Grand Military Gold Cup day on Friday, March 8 - an important landmark in the jump season.

The day will showcase the discipline and precision of the armed forced and renew their strong, historic bond with the racing world.

The event is a fundraiser for Soldiers, Sailors, Airman and Families Association Forces Help (SSAFA), one of the main charities raising money for the armed forces.

The free ticket for mothers can only be claimed on Friday, March 8, and Saturday, March 9, and alongside the purchase of either a premier or grandstand ticket in advance.
