Hearts were all around on Valentine’s Day when the council’s headquarters were illuminated.

Enfield Civic Centre in Silver Street, Enfield Town was lit up on Thursday from 5.30pm to mark the council’s support for the British Heart Foundation.

The council asked for people to support the charity by donating cash or wearing red clothes in their school or work place during a Rock up in Red day to raise money for the good cause.

Louise Parkes, fundraising director at the charity, said: “By organising a Rock up in Red event, Enfield residents helped us raise funds in order to continue saving lives.

“We offer our heartfelt thanks to the people of Enfield for so generously dedicating time and energy to help us continue our fight for every heartbeat.”
