An Easter egg hunt and walk with a difference has been launched by Woking and Sam Beare Hospices.

The first Hospice Hop will take place on Sunday, March 31 from 10am, and will encourage people to show off their “bunny” side.

Donning bunny ears, participants will walk the family friendly route from Woodham to the Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge.

Alexandra Shields, event organiser, said: “We want people to walk, hop, skip or jump the four miles while raising funds for the hospices, and with lots of fun to be had on route, we hope the local community will take this new event to their hearts and make it part of their Easter traditions.”

The walk will start at the Victoria Pub in Woodham, where there will be face painting and bunny ears on sale.

Registration will begin at 10am before setting off on the route, which will go via the Black Horse in Addlestone to Sam Beare Hospice.

Eggs will be dotted along the route and collecting them will allow walkers to enter them into a prize draw at the finish. The venues will also have raffle tickets on sale and games to play.

Registration is £5 per person and children under 5 go free.
